9/5/2021 0 Comments What Is a WiFi Blocker? What is a WiFi Blocker? A wifi blocker is a software program that prevents your computer or laptop from being able to connect to certain wireless networks. A WiFi blocker is typically used to prevent a certain wireless network in your home from allowing its subscribers to connect to it. It's also sometimes called a WiFi Spy. The blocking device uses radio frequency (HF) signals to interfere with the normal wireless communication between your computer and other wireless devices. How is a WiFi blocker useful? For someone who has a wireless network at home, blocking that network from going to certain areas of the home can make for a lot better use of that network. For example, if you use your computer to play online video games and watch streaming video content, then it's likely that you'll want to stay away from the local Wi-Fi hot spot. If you don't want your kids using your computer to play games or watch streaming media, then it may be better to block that particular wireless network and instead use a more private Wi-Fi hot spot. blocking the use of a particular network can actually cut down on Internet bandwidth usage by as much as 40 percent. What is a jammer? A farmer is another type of WiFi blocking device. Instead of transmitting radio signals that are in the range of your computer or laptop, a jammer emits spikes in electromagnetic waves that interfere with nearby wireless networks. If you want to use a hammer, you'll need an active Internet connection and the right type of device. How does a jammer work? Like a WiFi blocker, a jammer uses radio waves to interfere with wireless networks. This way, your computer or laptop will only be able to use a certain type of network when it's in the vicinity of the jammer. There are certain frequencies used by most jammer devices that aren't covered by traditional cell phone networks, such as CDMA, GSM, and WLL. The way that a jammer works may also cause a slight reduction in battery life. As mentioned earlier, the signal jammer will prevent your computer or laptop from being able to connect to a wireless network. It may also prevent access to certain applications and services, depending on the blocking software that's used. jamming will not prevent you from changing Internet networks or accessing the Web, but it will prevent you from connecting to them. Most of the time, when you do get back online, it'll take just seconds before you're back in your home environment. Blocking sites or apps used for privacy reasons can also affect Internet speeds. Certain types of applications that are used for parental control or blocking certain websites may actually cause a decrease in Internet speed. To test whether this is a possible problem, you should disconnect your computer or laptop from the Internet for a day or so and then reconnect them again. If after a day or two, there is a noticeable decrease in speed, it may be that your Internet service provider has blocked the websites or applications. Wireless routers can also be affected by these blocking software. If your Internet connection speeds are significantly reduced, this may also be an indication that your wireless router's Wi-Fi blocking capabilities may be configured in the wrong way.
